One of the great advantages of charging EV’s at staff members' homes is that it means they have a full tank, and are ready to go in the morning.

This gives the majority of drivers more than enough range to carry out their business each day.

At home fleet EV charging is a great option for many organisations. Thundergrid specialises in helping employers develop EV Home Fleet Charging solutions that are simple to deploy.

Cost, HR, installation, health and safety, reimbursement and reporting are sorted, simply.

Simplicity is built into how we work with our clients.

Simple to scale

Many organisations who are moving their fleets to electric find the costs to install central banks of chargers in their own buildings is prohibitive – triggering expensive upgrades to power connections.

Rolling out EV chargers in employee’s homes provides scalability.

Our standard Etrel INCH 7.4kW charger provides dynamic load management, ensuring that when the EV is charging, it stays within the home's power capacity and modulates power delivered to the car around the home's other power needs.

Additional features include wireless data transfer and communication, and durability and strength with a cast aluminium waterproof housing – the only home charger on the market that is not plastic.

Simple to get started

Figuring out where to start, and which employees to prioritise can be identified through a unique employee online questionnaire developed and issued by Thundergrid. This provides valuable information about each employee's home electricity and location arrangements. This data enables Thundergrid to work with you to develop the best roll out plan.

Simple to install

When the time for installing chargers arrives, Thundergrid works with a nationwide network of qualified installers who are able to connect chargers at both standard single-phase and three-phase homes.

Thundergrid can also support with the redeployment of chargers if employees move or leave their role.

Simple to account for

We offer a set-price for installation and supply. Because we know what is doable and possible, we can be upfront with capital costs and the ongoing operational running expenses.

Power charges can be tracked to the milliwatt, and with our ongoing management and support package, this can be used to reimburse staff for the power costs used in charging your fleet’s EV.

The system also allows home charging for other privately owned EVs.

This turnkey solution makes it easier for your finance team to offset the initial cost of at-home fleet charging, identify the ongoing cost and the carbon savings.

Making EV’s a breeze

Thundergrid’s mission is to make organisations’ transition to electric powered transport a breeze. We remove organisation and employee headaches in setting up an at home fleet EV charging platform, make it easy to monitor, and make it easy to account for.

Thundergrid is government approved and endorsed (we are an All of Government supplier), and meet or exceed all NZ Standards requirements.

Our end-to-end consulting and platform makes the transition to an EV fleet easy for an organisation and its workers - helping your employees leave home with a full tank every morning.
